A Joint Steering Committee handles strategic management of the Smart Living Lab on behalf of all partner institutions and an Executive Committee is in charge of implementation. The Scientific Commission is in charge of defining future research areas and identifying possibilities for joint projects.
Joint Steering Committee
The Joint Steering Committee is responsible for supervising implementation of Smart Living Lab, including infrastructure-related and budgetary aspects. It decides on the aims to be pursued and sets priorities.

Executive Committee
The Executive Committee runs the Smart Living Lab’s program within the scope set out by the Joint Steering Committee. The committee is in charge of the Smart Living Lab’s day-to-day work. The Executive Committee is co-chaired by the Academic Director and the Operational Director of the Smart Living Lab.

Scientific Commission
The Scientific Commission brings together the academic heads of the Smart Living Lab’s research groups, and is chaired by a professor nominated by EPFL. The Commission is tasked with strategically organizing the Smart Living Lab’s research domains and optimizing synergies between the different research groups. The Scientific Commission is chaired by the Academic Director of the Smart Living Lab.
