The renewable energy integration lab (LIRE) provides a development and full-scale test platform for integrating different renewable energy sources and energy storage for a whole building.

The projects and practical work carried out in the lab involve the optimization of energy management between production (from thermal or photovoltaic solar panels or air-to-water heat pumps), storage (hot, cold, or battery), consumption, and reinjection into the network. These different systems are interconnected, and measurements from various sensors are constantly being stored and analyzed.
