A new concept of advanced solar district heating/cooling networks for energy supply in buildings

The BlueCAD project studies an original concept of advanced thermal low-temperature district heating networks (CAD) operating with an intelligent control unit capable of integrating and managing different sources of renewable energy.

The case study for this project corresponds to the realization of such networks for the district of bluefactory. As the thermal source chosen is intermittent since it is based on solar energy, non-fluctuating thermal back-up will be ensured by the existing CAD network (Group E Celsius) also guaranteeing the security of the low temperature CAD network.
