Design and implementation of a digital monitoring system of the Smart Living Lab construction site

The project aims to collect georeferenced images throughout the construction phase of the future Smart Living Lab building.

The digital tracking installation uses a range of image capture technologies, including webcams set up on the roofs of nearby buildings, tower crane cameras, cameras fitted on RTK drones, 360° cameras and RTK enhanced tablets. Using specialized software, the project will generate a construction time lapse, as well as photogrammetric models and point clouds at key moments during the building phase.

The chosen redundancies in terms of data collection and 3-D reconstruction methods should make it possible to establish an archive that is large enough to accommodate treatments by future technologies, e.g. the automatic vectorization of point clouds.
