Developing a digital infrastructure to facilitate research experiments in the building of the Smart Living Lab

The building of the Smart Living Lab will be an experimental place equipped with permanent monitoring systems linked to digital models to continuously assess the achievement of the performance target through post-occupancy studies. It will also guide researchers in designing new experiments on this “plug & test” building.

The DIRE (Digital Infrastructure for Research Experiments of the Smart Living Lab) project aims to create digital tools to enable research groups to

1) access building data
2) manage spaces, research infrastructures
3) manage requests to adapt the building for the setting up of experiments.

In this context, the Building2050 group is defining the different services and functional needs by evaluating the associated costs, identifying any adaptations to the project, setting up the schedule and monitoring the implementation of this infrastructure.
