The objective of this project is to integrate, in the Building Information Modeling (BIM) specifications for the tender of the Smart Living Lab's building, all the technical aspects to be followed by the project team for the generation of the BIM models and thus guarantee its future use for research projects.

Among other things, the project has established mandatory requirements for the Level of Geometry (LOG), Level of Information (LOI), and the procedure for the use of IFC files. This was done following an 'OpenBIM' working logic. An evolutionary working method has been established enabling the IFC 4 format to be used as soon as the BIM modelling software has reached a state of progress that allows this latest version of IFC files to be used.
