Establishment of a new model for characterisation of particle resuspension from clothing

The release of indoor particles elevates the risk of exposure through inhalation. Several studies have been conducted to characterise particle resuspension associated with clothing, but much more work has been done on particle resuspension associated with flooring. The results of existing studies are not always in agreement and there are still many open questions.

Specifically, no one has yet attempted to establish a model for particle resuspension associated with clothing. Advancement in this area could lead to enhanced exposure prediction and ultimately to development of improved indoor air quality management measures.
